Unscrupulous Providers
There are many Home Information Pack providers trading throughout England, Wales and Scotland and the majority of them are trading in a professional manner. It has come to light however in recent months that there are a few HIP providers who are acting unlawfully.
Due to legal reasons we are unable to specifically name any of them however the old saying is right "If something looks too good to be true it probably is."
There are some providers offering full HIPs at a price of less than £200 and we would like to advise you that some of these providers are unscrupulous and are taking payment and then not providing the HIP. This obviously leaves customers out of pocket and with nothing to show for it, not a good situation to be in.
We would recommend that before ordering your HIP you check to see whether the HIP provider is a member of IPPA. Further information about IPPA can be found at www.ippa.org.uk.
If you have paid for a HIP and not received the complete pack within 21 working days it is possible you may have been a victim of one of these rogue companies.
